January was pretty slow.  The main problem was both Rick and I contracted Influenza A.  The only thing we got done for 2 weeks was feeding the horses.

We are back up and functioning.  I did check the fence and replaced about 25 broken insulators.  There is the constant job of picking up downed limbs and cutting back invasive species.  We had a cold snap like a huge part of the country.  We fed the boys more and made sure they had plenty of hay.  They were happy campers.  Now that it has warmed up so much they spend a large part of their day grazing out back and taking naps in the sun.  We LOVE glancing out the windows and seeing where they are and what they are doing.
