I started focusing on our property in 2023.

I wanted to be a better steward of our tiny fleck of this earth.

Lat summer I participated in a Creative Soul Retrieval program with Sarah Bamford Seidelmann.  The one thing I knew my soul needed was to take care better care of our 18 acres.  I also heard Robin Wall Kimmerer (author of “Braiding Sweetgrass”) speak and she inspired me to more forward in taking better care of our farm.

After reading “Restoring Eden:  Unearthing the Agribusiness Secret That Poisoned My Farming Community” by Elizabeth E Hilborn I would like to make sure it doesn’t happen in our community.

What I am learning more about is regenerative agriculture.  I am learning about native plants and symbiosis.

I have attached a couple of videos.  One is how much of the perimeter of the woods I cleared by working 15 minutes a day for 100 days.  The other is of me cutting down some autumn olive (an invasive species that is NOT native to our area and does not allow native species to grow and flourish).
